The vow renewal ceremony is one of the most romantic and sentimental moments in a couple’s life. Now imagine if the backdrop to this very special event is Aruba’s golden-sand beaches and purple sunset. Sounds like a scene from a blockbuster romantic comedy, right? Well, what if we told you that you can be part of this scene by booking two tickets to visit a sun-soaked Carribean island in August?
Aruba is one of the most romantic destinations worldwide. Maybe it’s the sugar-sand beaches and luxurious resorts by the sea or just the island’s relaxed atmosphere that make it so popular among enamored visitors. Newlyweds spend their honeymoon on the island, lovebirds head here to for Valentine’s Day and couples from all over the world choose to celebrate their golden anniversary on this lovely Caribbean island.
Aruba Vow Renewal Ceremony
And just when we thought it couldn’t get more idyllic, two years ago, the One Happy Island organized the Caribbean’s largest vow renewal celebration. Needless to say, it was a great success and in 2018, the ceremony took place for the second year in a row. Two-hundred couples of different ages and nationalities flew all the way to the Caribbean to renew their “I Do’s.” For one evening, Eagle Beach was filled with happy people celebrating their love. Women wearing white outfits suitable for the occasion or floral dresses suitable to the island’s vibe holding hands with their significant other (also dressed in white) flooded the beach with feelings.
Aruba Tourism Authority had, of course, done its bit to create the suitable fairy-tale scenery that included flowers, champagne and a huge illuminated sign reading “I DO” which became the event’s most popular photo booth. After Mr. Andrew Osbourne read the vow renewal script creating the evening’s most emotional moment, DJs and amazing dancers dressed in carnival costumes took over the reins and got the party started.

In the 2018 ‘Renew Your I Do’s’ ceremony, Aruba Tourism Authority joined forces with some of the island’s resorts (including the ones mentioned above) offering special packages to visitors participating in the annual event. They’ve already announced that this year’s ceremony will also collaborate with a number of partners. Before booking your accommodations, make sure to check out which resorts and hotels will be on the list.
