Soak in the sun in style on an exclusive Bali bed at one of their two lagoon-style pools, or enjoy family time in the water at the kid’s pool, which is fitted with its very own pirate ship.
When it comes time to relax, drop the kids off at the resort’s daycare facility while you hit the spa for a massage, facial or sauna visit. You can also sign up for one of the hotel’s many adult classes, including tequila tasting and sushi making. Meet back up with your family for a delicious dinner at one of the resort’s 16 restaurants.
All of the resorts 488 suites are fitted with terraces or balconies, so guests have the opportunity to take in the jaw-dropping seaside views without ever leaving the room. Each room also includes a flat-screen TV and minibar, but some options also offer a hydromassage bathtub. Want to take a dip in the pool first thing in the morning? Book one of their 62 swim-up suites. They also offer family concierge rooms with private check-ins, all-day snacks and a special welcome kit for children.
The resort sits right on 5th Avenue (Quinta Avenida) in Playa del Carmen, which is the go-to spot for tourists in the Riviera Maya. Stop by the Parque Fundadores to catch live, local performers while the kids enjoy the play area. To taste the local cuisine, be sure to check out El Muelle for some of the area’s best seafood or Chez Celine for delectable desserts.
For a bigger adventure, take a 45-minute trip to the ancient Mayan city of Coba to view one of the largest archaeological sites in the region. Tulum is another location of Mayan ruins, and while it’s not as large, it’s the only one located next to the seaside in the Riviera Maya. If you want to take in some history without leaving Playa del Carmen, check out the hidden ruins during your stroll on 5th Avenue between 12th and 14th Street.
