How do you define paradise? For many, it’s a tropical island with sun-drenched sandy beaches, sparkling turquoise water and palm trees swaying in the gentle sea breeze, a scene right out of a Kenny Chesney song. We can’t disagree. But we can do one thing better.
Let’s add a cool beach bar there.
We put together a list of the best beach bars in Providenciales, Turks & Caicos for you to hang out, make friends, relax, laugh, sip a cocktail and have a bite to eat – all without ever leaving the beach.
A Never-Ending Bar at Grace Bay Club
At 90-feet long, Infiniti Bar at Grace Bay Club holds the record for the longest bar in the Caribbean; the infinity edge makes it seem to go on forever, and every seat offers a spectacular view of the beach and the aquamarine water stretching to the horizon. The cocktails are seductive, the tapas dishes and full-restaurant menu delectable, and live entertainment happens every Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Looking for a daytime jaunt right on the sand of Grace Bay Beach? Relax at the beachfront pop-up restaurant, Just Tacos by Grace Bay Club, that serves up a menu – you guessed it, tacos – and tropical cocktails at tables on the beach.
Live Entertainment at Bugaloo’s Conch Crawl
Can’t decide whether to relax with your feet in the water or grab a bite to eat? At Bugaloo’s, you don’t have to choose. You can do both at the same time. With some tables right in the water, “ocean view” is taken to a whole new level. A full menu features appetizers, salads, seafood, chicken and burgers, and you can play darts, table tennis and horseshoes on the beach. Beach attire is welcome, and live entertainment is offered just about every day.
Island Vibes at da Conch Shack & Rum Bar
As you’ve already guessed, the specialty here is conch, and the chefs here use all different preparation methods to suit every taste. Part of the experience is watching them “catch” the conch and clean it right on the beach! People rave about the conch fritters! They also make bang-up seafood dishes with grouper, snapper and lobster, and the jerk chicken is some of the best you’ll get outside of Jamaica. Outdoor and indoor seating is available, and live entertainment is offered as well. Visit da Conch Shack for a spectacular island meal and experience.
Dine on the Beach at Somewhere…Café and Lounge
If there is anywhere in Turks & Caicos with bragging rights because of location, it’s Somewhere…Café and Lounge. Literally a stone’s throw from water’s edge, the Tex-Mex fare is fabulous. Try a margarita and fajitas, or have the pulled pork sandwich with “dirty fries.” You won’t be disappointed. This is a great, no-frills restaurant with a laid-back, relaxing island vibe. Sit on the beach with your feet right in the sand, or try the rooftop deck overlooking the Caribbean; it’s “the best place to watch the sunset.”
Local Favorite: Froggies on Da Beach
If you’re looking for a place that’s more local and less touristy, try Froggies on Da Beach. Listen to music, dance, chat with the locals and enjoy a conch salad and rum punch while you drink in the view from the second-story deck. Froggies even offers ATV tours to Northwest Point. Beachy and islandy to the max, this is a great place to get some downtime, even from your downtime.
