Or, if you’re visiting Cancún during the summer months and plan ahead, you may get the chance to swim alongside whale sharks. Adventurers will love the ancient Mayan Ruins at Ek’ Balam, Chichen Itza or beachside ruins at the Yucatán’s boho destination, Tulum. Explore one of Cancún’s beautiful beaches outside your resort for an easy day of exploring—kids will love the playground at Playa Delfines or walking through the jungle to reach the beach in Sian Ka’an Biosphere Reserve.
