Can we get a big round of applause for this spring breaker with a purpose? While some college kids head to Florida beaches to party off the mid-semester blues, 19-year-old Joshua Caraway of Atlanta, Georgia took to Miami Beach to pick up trash left behind by other beach goers.
Joshua has since been recognized by officers on Miami Beach, and gained national recognition on social media, with nearly a thousand retweets and 3,000 likes.

According to WSVN reporter Joel Franco, when a Miami Beach police officer asked why Joshua was cleaning up instead of enjoying the beach like all of his peers, Joshua said he loves animals, and wants to take care of their home and ours.
During his stay on Miami Beach, Joshua picked up at least three full trash bags of trash along the beach. But what happened next was even more amazing…
Another group took to the beach to help clean up too!
