Maria earned her Master’s in Communication from Purdue University, where she focused on strategic messaging and media analysis, after completing her Bachelor’s in Journalism at Loyola University Chicago, where she first discovered her passion for storytelling and impactful reporting.

• Puglia, Italy – A region close to my heart because my family is rooted there, but also the most authentic part of Italy with some of the best food, wine, weather and beaches!
• Maldives – The most incredible beaches and water, and the diving is some of the best!
• Serengeti, Tanzania – Going on safari will change your life, and nothing compares to experiencing the animals in the Serengeti!
• Oslo, Norway – The most clean and fresh air with a beautiful landscape.

Fun Facts:

• Certified PADI Open Water Diver, and loves incorporating dives into my travels!
• Studied several languages including Italian, Japanese, and Arabic. 
• Studied abroad in Rome during undergrad and solo-traveled for several months after the semester ended, including trips to Poland, Greece and Austria.
