A midsize, mid-range hotel near some of the best beaches in Palm Beach. The vibe is low-key, relaxed and friendly, making couples, families and seniors feel equally at home.
With three free-form saltwater pools, a kids’ pool, poolside cabanas, a Jacuzzi and beach service, The Mill Resort & Suites Aruba is the perfect place to unwind, disconnect and melt into the laid-back world of the Caribbean. The hotel’s 163 rooms are bright and clean, and many have been recently renovated. There are six categories to choose from: Vista King, Vista Queen, Vista Junior Suite, Royal Deluxe, Junior Deluxe and Studio Deluxe. Room features, depending on the room, include kitchens, mini refrigerators, soaking tubs, dining areas, living rooms, pool views, balcony/terrace and 55-inch TVs. Rooms are decorated in light colors and wood accents and the airy ambiance adds to the feeling of carefree island life.
The centerpiece of the property is the three beautiful pools. There are plenty of loungers, so guests don’t have to get there at the crack of dawn to snag a spot. Iguanas lounge lazily on the rocks, and every day at noon the staff entertains guests by hosting a live feeding of the resident reptiles. The Mill Restaurant serves guests from 7 am to 10 pm with á la carte breakfast, a breakfast buffet, lunch and dinner. There are two on-site bars—including a swim-up bar—and beach service is available from noon to 6 pm.
Hitting the links on a Caribbean island is an unforgettable experience and golfers in Aruba can choose from two courses. Tierra del Sol Golf is an 18-hole course designed by Robert Trent Jones II. Spectacular views of the sea and California Lighthouse complement the blue sky and tropical sunshine. For a shorter course—nine holes—head to The Links at Divi Aruba. Both courses are less than 15 minutes from the hotel.
The capital and main city of Aruba, Oranjestad, is just ten minutes from The Mill. A lively vibe is there both during the day and well into the night. Outdoor markets, boutiques, malls, restaurants, casinos and nightclubs are plentiful. The Dutch influence is palpable in the charming architecture and visitors can admire the bright pastel facades as they stroll the streets looking for a bargain, light lunch or local watering hole.
