3. Brimstone Hill Fortress National Park
Brimstone Hill Fortress is one of the most extensive and well-preserved British polygonal fortifications in the Western Hemisphere. With its history dating back to the 1690’s this massive monument will not disappoint. The fortress took nearly 100 years to build and is a historic time capsule you must visit.
The attractions at the fortress include Fort George Museum with exhibits and displays, Western Place of Arms with cannons overlooking the sea, the Citadel and Eastern Place of Arms. Sweeping views of the island are available from the fortress, with the highest level being accessible via steep cobblestone steps plus there are several ruins around the fort for you to explore.
