If you’re familiar with Jamaican history, or if you grew up watching the John Candy movie “Cool Runnings,” then you’re probably familiar with the story of the Jamaican Olympic bobsled team, who fought against all odds to compete in the global games. What to Expect
First, you’ll ascend the mountain by chairlift, where your sled awaits. Once you’re safely strapped in the bobsled, prepare for the thrill of a lifetime. Your custom-built, high-tech sled will descend a whopping 1,000-foot track built directly into the side of the mountain.
While there is a track involved, this is far from a theme-park attraction. The sled is propelled only by the laws of physics. A special hand-brake allows passengers to adjust their speed to slow down and soak up the surroundings.
