Calypso
Located on Playa Marias, Calypso plays host to beach goers and surfers alike. Marias is a world- renowned surf destination and Calypso overlooks the fabled dirt parking lot, surf break, and world class waves. With a fresh pina colada in hand and a diverse crowd of locals, ex-pats, and surfers, the fun lasts well after sunset, when Calypso plays host to locals bands.
Tamboo
Tamboo overlooks Sandy’s Beach, a favorite spot for vacationers and locals looking for a swim. Most of the beaches in Rincon are reef bottoms, but Sandy’s is named for its sandy bottom. This makes Tamboo the go-to spot for food and drinks for any ravenous beach goer. The kitchen serves quality food, the bar flows rum punches, and the upstairs deck provides a sprawling vista of ocean-goers and the long, mountainous landscape of the northern side of Puerto Rico.
Casa Islenia
About a mile away from Tamboo is Casa Islenia. This is a great breakfast spot to enjoy mimosas or bloody Marys after a long night out or to start a great day in paradise. The lunch menu is great, too, and the bar leads to a pool area where sun bathers and swimmers can watch the waves break just feet from the sand.
Villa Cofersi
Villa Cofersi is a hotel, restaurant, and bar that is famous for a drink called a parate. Their bartenders cut the top off of a coconut with a machete and mix the coconut milk from inside with several different kinds of liquor to create a delicious and potent concoction. Aside from drinks, there is a pool, ping pong, billiards, and a stellar view of sunset.
Rincon of the Seas
Rincon of the Seas is a beautiful hotel with a true pool bar where visitors can relax and enjoy freshly made drinks. The pool is just yards from a beach with a picture perfect image of the Caribbean. The crystal clear water, the white sand beach lined with palm trees, and the island of Desecheo on the horizon make this an extremely beautiful place to enjoy a daytime beverage.
